Indian Civilian aircraft to drop British-era marking

1.  A code 'VT' stamped on the side of all India registered planes, has been in use since 1929.
2. VT stands for Viceroy Territory.
3. Even after so many years of Independence, this marking is being retained by India, even as other once-colonised countries like Pakistan and Fiji have opted for a revision.
4.  Now India is also planning to discontinue use of this marking on its planes. And for this, India plans to take up the issue with the International Civil Aviation Organization.
