Covid-19: A pandemic the world suffers

Covid-19, the pandemic disease that started in China during Nov-Dec, 2019 has eventually got into its fold the entire world, killing lacs of people world over, including over 20000 so far in India. The pandemic is now well over 6 months old. But the would community is still struggling to decipher what exactly the disease is, how it spreads and how to control it and treat it. Scientists across the world are working day in and day out to work out a vaccine for the disease, but the wait appears unending. Though, the race for same continues. More than a lac people have died of Covid-19 so far in USA itself, whereas China, where this all started, has seen around 4500 deaths so far. The Chinese virus, that's how they call it, has taken the entire world into a complete spin. Salient Features of Direct Tax Proposals in Union Budget 2017 The Hon’ble Finance Minister of India laid the Union Budget 2017 before the Parliament on 01.02.2017. The salient features of Direct Tax proposals are as under:  I.          Personal Income Tax: 1.       Personal income tax for people with income in the slab of 2.5 lakh to 5 lakh to be    reduced to 5% instead of 10%.
